Custom Values are helpful as they allow you to insert customized information throughout your Brand Builder AI account. A Custom Value has information about your business and can be used throughout most features of the app, including email, automations, texts, funnel pages, etc.
A Custom Field is information unique to each CONTACT. For example, if you wanted to know the "T-shirt size" for some or all of your contacts, you can add a Custom Field to your system. The Custom Field can be added to any form or survey for your contact to fill out. The Custom Field data can then be utilized in emails, SMS texts, and more! Custom Fields enable you to collect specific information from your contacts to help you in your marketing, sales and delivery.
Your steps to complete
NOTE: Custom Values and Custom Fields can be added, modified and removed as you see fit in the future. The following steps will familiarize you with how they work.
Click Settings > Custom Values
Think of a custom value you would like to have appear in all your funnels and emails.
Example: edit the "value" for Name of Challenge and Save.
Click Sites > Funnels > Free Challenge Funnel
Click Preview to see how the name of the Free Challenge fills into the funnel.
Click Settings > Custom Fields
Think of something you would need to reference about a contact such as goals or business info (think of something you would want to know about a contact.)
Create a Custom Field for the info that you would need to collect.
Click Sites > Forms and select the form you want to add the custom field to.
Click Custom Field > locate the custom field you created and add the custom field to the form.
Be sure to test this form to be sure that the custom field is populated with the info you submitted when testing the form.
